After taking the year off from official celebrations, and the brutal couple of years hospitality has seen, Cardiff is gearing up for a New Year you won’t forget! If you’re planning a trip to Cardiff, an Aaron Wise apartment places you in the thick of the excitement – just a few minutes walk from the city centre, you won’t be waiting for a cab after you’re exhausted yourself dancing! We’ve picked a few of our favourite things to do in Cardiff this New Year. Take a look at our stylish apartments to find the best place for you to stay and get in touch to book with our friendly team.

New Year’s Eve dinner and drinks

Killing time before your NYE celebrations? Want to give your fabulous outfit an extra outing? The lovely Glory Stores is hosting an Afternoon ‘Tea’ (Hold the Tea!) at either 11am or 2pm – 6pm all the tasty treats of an afternoon, but with added fizz!

If it’s drinks you’re looking for, The Dead Canary’s dragon-themed cocktails or the excellent Porter’s Cardiff bar have got your covered. Or for a full night of food, champagne and dancing decadence, Cosy Club are having a NYE party where you can get dressed up and celebrate with friends old and new

Take in a show

If you’re more in the mood for an early evening event before relaxing back at your Aaron Wise apartment with a glass of bubbles or hot chocolate, Bute Park is hosting LEXICON at NoFit State’s Big Top tent – a joyful circus show full of magic, laughter and lightness which is fun for all the family

Or for a more emotionally-charged performance, head to St David’s Hall to watch Romeo & Juliet Performed by The Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia. Shakespeare’s tale of primal passion and timeless tragedy is brought to life by Prokofiev’s score.

Dancing in the day, or until the early hours

Depending on who you are celebrating with, there is dancing for everyone in Cardiff this New Year. For those with kids, Tramshed is hosting a Glitter Tots ‘Noon’ Year’s Eve Family Disco where you can dance with your family and bring the new year in 12 hours early at midday! And those who have a later night planned, Motel Nights are hosting  Disco-topia at Tramshed all night long!

There’s Alice In Wonderland-themed nights with indie and electro pop at Clwb Ifor Bach, indie gigs with Cardiff favourites, Lost and Found at the Vulcan Lounge and DNB allstars for an all night dance at Vaults. New Year’s Eve in Cardiff is sure to be a brilliant affair, and when you can stumble back to your apartment at Aaron Wise quickly, or grab a quick cab, we’ve got your covered for stylish, comfortable accommodation for you and yours to enjoy for the rest of your stay and your recovery!

And to nurse your hangover and clear the cobwebs…
